Chateau Nugget

Technically a condo. We stand by the name.
Her Majesty, Queen Nugget. She is the one in the gilded frame
A note from the house

Welcome in.

Welcome to Chateau Nugget. Her Majesty has been expecting you — she's the one in the gilded frame.

We're Mike and Chiara, the humans she allows to run the place, and this mountain is where our story began.  It's where we learned to snowboard, where we ended every day the same way: hot tub, earned drinks, no complaints. And where we showed up for Mike's milestone birthday with a 12-week-old Nugget in tow. She was a spontaneous surprise gift, the trip was already booked, there was no leaving her behind.   We kept coming back until coming back wasn't enough anymore. We wanted somewhere that was ours. For us, for our people, for anyone we love enough to share it with. That's you now. We promise not to make it weird if you don't. Your photo with Her Majesty is non-negotiable. She's been waiting.

Make yourself at home. You've earned this.

—  Chiara, Mike. & Nugget

First things first

Stop, before anything else.

There's a card on the coffee table. We laminated it. A little embarrassing, but we mean it.

A few house notes

Her Majesty has standards.

Please treat the Chateau as you'd treat your own home — the nicely behaved version, not the college apartment version.

i.
QUIET HOURS · 10PM — 8AM
Sierra Park Villas is a real neighborhood. The fire, the wine, and the laughter can stay; the volume comes down at ten.
ii.
NO PETS · HOA POLICY
Hers is the only nose permitted at the Chateau. Nugget is here in spirit, so hopefully you don't miss yours as much.
iii.
NO SMOKING, NO VAPING, NO CANDLES
Indoors and on the deck. The wood stove is the only open flame the Chateau answers to.
iv.
SKI BOOTS & SNOW · OFF AT THE DOOR
The rack is right there. Wood floors don't love salt and slush; neither do we.
v.
PARKING · TWO SPACES, PLACE PLACARD ON DASH
Additional vehicles must find parking on Old Mammoth Road or elsewhere. Don't block neighbors; they remember.
vi.
TRASH & RECYCLING · BEAR-PROOF, ALWAYS
Latched, every time. The local wildlife has excellent reviews and reads them.
vii.
LEAVE IT AS YOU FOUND IT
A loaded dishwasher and towels gathered is plenty. No need to strip beds — that's on us.
